What is a treasure ?

What is a  treasure ?
We are spiritual beings.  Our ability to enjoy life depends upon our ability to understand something as simple as an idea.  Our Constitution guarantees us the right to pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  For me the recollection of a pleasant memory is a source of happiness.
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;
20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
This wonderful advice is taken from the Bible from the gospel of Matthew, Chapter 6 verse 19  – 21.
When we can recall a pleasant memory it can certainly be a source of happiness.  Never underestimate the power that a kind word or deed you can give away. The reason for this story is to show how we may structure our lives in such a way as to generate circumstances that provide happiness. Acts 20 verse 35
And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'”
The attitude we take toward the process of living determines the altitude of our joy.  The joy I feel in looking back over the wonderful and marvelous things that enriched my life give me the authority to tell you that you can also receive joy and happiness by the seeds you plant by your work.
I was in a wonderful place as a farm trouble shooter for a farm supply company and traveled to 22 different states to see farms in trouble.  I have been on over 1000 different farms. I can take you back to many farms where they will tell me,  “Doc if you had not shown us the way to fix our problem we would surely have gone bankrupt”.
Now I cannot take that thought to the bank for cash.  But I can use that concept to tell you that you too can receive the joy of knowing that your efforts in helping others will become the fountain of joy in your own life.
